"Sometimes, it's like you're living in the third person."
It takes courage to feel, to be opinionated. To take a stand for something.
In my cowardice and ignorance, I rationalize and appeal to authority.
When presented with an unrequited love, I explained, "This feeling isn't love ... I'm just trying to understand this epistemically transformative phenomena."
"Well, Buddha would say, Hegel claims, Kierkegaard wrote ... " My friend responded, "But I want to know what Isaac thinks, not Buddha."
